At the beginning of June 2007, the heads of state and government of the eight largest economic powers will come together for the G8 Summit in Heiligendamm near Rostock.
As an act of civil disobedience, we will blockade this Summit. Our reason: The politics of the G8 stand for neoliberal, globalised capitalism, which dramatically increases the gap between the rich and poor worldwide. With the “"Block G8" campaign, we say “"No!"” and reject the legitimacy of the G8!
Different initiatives and movements are calling for resistance to the Summit. People from around the globe will articulate their protest through a diverse range of actions. The “"Block G8" campaign is one part of this. Take part in the protest actions and take a stand against the politics of the G8!
The G8 summits are a symbol. They serve those in government as a demonstration of their power. Their news reports: There is no alternative to the new world order. With our action, we want to clearly reject the apparent lack of alternatives.

El G8 en Alemania se celebra en un pequeño pueblo en la costa del norte, cerca de la ciudad de Rostock a la orilla del mar baltico. Origináriamente Heiligendamm es un balneario y desde hace siglos es un centro para las clases dominantes de la epoca. Asi diferentes emperadores y reyes, pero tambien el presidente Putin y Georges Bush han estado en Heiligendamm. Del 6 al 8 de junio allí se reunirán los autodeclarados jefes del mundo.
Geografía
Heiligendamm se encuentra en la parte norte de Alemania. Se encuentra al lado del mar Báltico cerca de la ciudad de Rostock a una distancia igual de Berlin y de Hamburgo. La ciudad más próxima a Heiligendamm es Bad Doberan a unos 6 Km. Esta es accesible con tren y por carreretera. Sin embargo se prevee que durante la cumbre estara saturada y cerrada para los manifestantes porque se muestra como uno de lo puntos de comunicación más importantes con Heiligendamm. Dal 6 all'8 Giugno 2007 si terrà a Heiligendamm vicino Rostock (Germania), il G8, ovvero il vertice dei capi di governo delle otto più grandi nazioni del mondo.
Noi ci saremo e con dei blocchi come azione della disobbedienza civile punteremo a bloccare questo vertice.
Perché? Perché la politica del G8 è la politica del capitalismo globale neoliberista, che aumenta drammaticamente le differenze fra ricchi e poveri in tutto il mondo.
Per questo con la campagna ‘Block G8’ diciamo NO e contestiamo ogni legittimità del G8. Diverse iniziative e diversi movimenti di lotta invitano alla resistenza al vertice. Gente da tutto il mondo comunica la sua opposizione con una moltitudine di azioni. La campagna ‘Block G8’ è parte di questa opposizione. Collaborate con azioni di protesta e mettetevi contro la politica del G8!
I vertici G8 sono un simbolo.
Servono ai potenti per dimostrare il loro potere. Il messaggio è chiaro: Non c’è alternativa all’ordine mondiale esistente. Con le nostre azioni vogliamo opporci a questa parvenza che ci mostra privi di un’alternativa.

Am Sonnabend hat die NPD ihre Kampagne gegen den G8-Gipfel und für einen "nationalen Sozialismus" begonnen. Gegen die Abschlussdemonstration in Schwerin mobilisiert bereits jetzt ein internationales Antifa-Bündnis.
Was für ein Fest muss das gewesen sein. NPD-Infostand in Schwerin, die Massen scharen sich um die Kameraden, ein Volk steht auf für Bonbons und Kugelschreiber. "Der Zuspruch der Menschen ist enorm, wie es hier immer der Fall war und ist." Immer jubeln sie, die Schweriner, früher für Wilhelm, dann für Erich, nun für Udo: "Als dann auch noch der NPD-Fraktionsvorsitzende Udo Pastörs kommt, ist die Begeisterung der Schweriner übergroß, denn sie kennen ihn noch aus dem Wahlkampf." Wie ein Fisch im Wasser bewegt er sich im Volke, der große Vorsitzende. "Udo Pastörs steht Rede und Antwort, er versteht es, auf die brennenden Fragen einzugehen, er weiß wo der Schuh drückt," heißt es auf der Website der NPD.
Der scheinbare Beginn der Entledigung jeglicher Reste von Verstand bei den nationaldemokratischen Berichterstattern in Schwerin war gleichzeitig der bundesweite Beginn der Mobilisierung der Partei gegen den G8-Gipfel. Unter dem Motto "Gib8! Sozial statt Global" wollen die Partei und "freie" Kameradschaften das Treffen der Staatschefs in Heiligendamm für ihre Propaganda eines "nationalen Sozialismus" nutzen.

Höhepunkt der Krawalle am 2. Juni erwartet
Rostock cfox Stadtverwaltung und Polizei rechnen während der Gipfeltage mit wenigstens 4000 gewaltbereiten Globalisierungs- gegnern zwischen Rostock und Heiligendamm. Der Stellvertreter des Oberbürgermeisters, Georg Scholze, geht davon aus, dass der 2. Juni für die Hansestadt Rostock „zum problematischsten Tag“ wird.
Für die angekündigte Großdemonstration in der Rostocker Innenstadt geht die Sondereinsatzgruppe „Kavala“ nach wie vor von bis zu 100000 Demonstranten aus. Ein Großteil der 16000 Einsatzkräfte in der Region wird an diesem Tag in Rostock sein, kündigte ein Sprecher des Sondereinsatzkommandos eine „Kräfteverlegung“ an. „Die Demo wird auf jeden Fall gut abgeschirmt und überbetreut sein.“
Das öffentliche Leben soll während der Gipfeltage nicht erliegen. Wie Scholze mitteilt, bleiben alle öffentlichen Einrichtungen wie Schulen und Kindergärten geöffnet. Die Stadt rechnet allerdings mit erheblichen Verkehrsbehinderungen.

Die Stadt Rostock hat am Mittwoch einen weiteren Campplatz von Ende Mai bis zum Abschluss des G8-Gipfels in Heiligendamm genehmigt. Die Stadt bestätigte eine entsprechende Mitteilung von Monty Schädel, dem Koordinator des Rostocker Anti-G8-Bündnisses. Das in einem Industriegebiet an der Warnow gelegene Camp soll Platz für 5.000 Menschen bieten. Es ist das dritte nach dem in Reddelich (Kreis Bad Doberan) für 5.000 und dem in Bützow (Kreis Güstrow) für 15.000 Menschen.
Weiteres Camp dringend gesucht
Den Angaben zufolge wird in der Hansestadt oder nahen Umgebung noch ein weiteres Camp dringend benötigt. Es sei noch völlig unklar, wo die mehreren 10.000 Leute Unterkunft finden sollen, die nur zur Demonstration am Samstag vor dem Gipfel (2. Juni) nach Rostock kommen. Es gebe keine genaueren Einschätzungen der Demonstrantenzahlen, sagte Schädel. Man sei bei den Planungen auf Vermutungen und Erfahrungen früherer G8-Gipfel angewiesen.

Zur 3. Aktionskonferenz zur Vorbereitung der Protesten gegen den G8 2007 versammelten sich vom 13.-15.4. etwa 400 AktivistInnen aus allen Spektren der Gipfelmobilisierung. Inhaltliche Widersprüche wurden bearbeitet, die Solidarität untereinander gestärkt und vor allem wurden ganz viele praktische Planungen für die Aktionen im Juni 2007 besprochen.
Bevor es am Sonntag zum öffentlichen Aktionstraining der Kampagne Block G8 und zum gemeinsamen Zaunspaziergang nach Heiligendamm ging, formulierte die Aktionskonferenz in einer Abschlusserklärung noch einmal die entschiedene Gegnerschaft zur G8 und ihrer Politik.

The roads to Heiligendamm come in all shapes and sizes. Except to the airport, there are no big motorways, which require their own expert approach to blocking. Most of the roads that will be used to transport people and goods to the G8 summit are dual carriageways, sometimes with a crash barrier inbetween the lanes, often with crash barriers (and cycle paths) along the sides of the road.
