The Summit "Russia-European Union" – repressions against Libertarian Forum.

The repressions against "Intergalactic Libertarian Forum" which should take place during the Summit "Russia - the European Union" on 16-18 of May have begun in Samara (Russia). Yesterday May, 10 the police organised a search in the public center. In this center the Coordinating Committee of the libertarian forum was based. Coordinators of the Forum planned to held discussions and working groups in different rooms on that center. Today, May 11, the building of the public center has been closed by the local authorities. Searches and the prohibition to enter the building blocked up the work of the public center and several human rights and ecological NGOs (i.e. Аssosiation for the protection of the rights of the voters "VOICE", project "Maintenance of the freedom of speech and freedom of assembly', youth cinemaclub etc.), although the repressions were aimed at the Libertarian Forum but not these groups.

Саммит «Россия-Евросоюз» - репрессии против контрфорума

В Самаре (Россия) начались репрессии против «Межгалактического либертарного форума», который должен пройти во время саммита «Россия – Евросоюз» 16-18 мая.

10 мая в Самаре Россия, в помещении общественного центра, где располагался оргкомитет "Межгалактического Либертарного Форума" и офисы нескольких правозащитных и экологоческих НКО (Асоциация в защиту прав избирателя «ГОЛОС», Правозащитный проект "Обеспечение права на свободу слова и собраний", молодежный киноклуб) прошли обыски. Была и изъята техника – несколько комьпьютеров и ксероксы. 11 мая здание, в одном из залов которого должны были проводится семинары форума было закрыто. В результате обысков и репрессий против либертарного форум была прекращена работа всех общественных организаций, расположенных в этом здании. Напомним, что в рамках либертарного форума должны были пройти дискусси и рабочие группы по проблемам болонского процесса, миграции, полицейских репрессий во время саммита G8 в Санкт-петербурге в 2006 г. и др.
