International Networking Meeting London-Outreach event Refugee Forum Saturday March 26 2005
International Networking Group- Leeds- Working Group Co-ordination meeting Sunday March 27th 2005
We would like to invite you and your comrades to the following meeting for protests against the G8 in Scotland this year...In July the G8 meeting of world leaders will be take place between
6th -8th July. Already there will be a massive mobilisation of
protestors arriving in Scotland from 2nd July. However already Gordon
Brown has attempted to pretend that the protestors support his
proposals for Africa! This international networking meeting
in London, is part of a number of meetings to expand the coalition and
to see how views from across the world can be part of those protests.
If your group would like to give a presentation, or to speak, please
let us know as much details as possible, ie how long you need and how
much space you need. Please look at the following agenda and let us

4pm, but we would like to have a short introduction also.

For over 18 months the Dissent network has been starting to co-ordinate a coalition to protest against the whole summit (see http://www.dissent.org.uk). Reshape groups have formed in Glasgow and Edinburgh (http://reshape.org.uk/)
This
international networking meeting in London, is part of a number of
meetings to expand the coalition and to see how views from across the
world can be part of those protests. If your group would like to give a
presentation, or to speak, please let us know as much details as

Proposed Agenda: 10:00 - 11:00 Registration, coffee, information and displays available (Gleneagles maps, The Voice Refugee Forum, photos etc).
11:00 - 12:00 Introduction:
Why do groups want to go to Gleneagles ? What do groups want to get out of this meeting ?
12:00 - 1:00 Question and answers about developments in Scotland e.g. Reshape, G8 Alternatives, Media hype etc.
1:00 - 2:00 How do people want to develop the coalition ?
2:00 - 3:00 Lunch
3:00 - 4:00 Sub groups
Africa (opposing Blair's Africa Commission proposal) Refugee and Migrant Self organisation
Another sub group
4:00 - 5:00 Final session
