Bike caravan against the G8 summit

What is the G8 summit

Annually the eight leading industrial states have a highly protected summit. These states rely on economic hierarchal structures. For the stability of these structures continuous economic growth is vital. Due to this, the main issue of this summit is to agree on policies which ensure these economic targets. Of course there are other items on the agenda with much publicity but with decreasing priority e.g. climate, environment, the third world, social justice...

What do we want

We want to show to the people that the existing structures cannot solve the problems of our world. On the contrary, we believe that these structures are, in fact, the reasons for these problems. We have the vision of a non-hierarchal world without borders where people can move and live wherever they want, independent of their origin.

Who we are

We are an antinational group riding from Budapest to Heiligendamm to protest against the G8 summit. We are non-hierachically organized to show that solidaric living together is possible, without leaders, but equal individuals. All our decisions are made by consensus. Everybody is always free to join or leave our group.
