Points
24 Hour Info Shop: 10 Albert place, Lieth Walk. Open meetings to organise the space
happen here every night at 6pm. The Infoshop serves Zapatista coffee
for
50pence and has a great exchange of support and information happening
between the activists and the local community. The telephone for the

Forest Café: 3
Bristo Place. A volunteer-run café and arts space, and is
also a useful point of information. It has a big Anti-G8 noticeboard
with info about meetings. The street entrance next to Forest Café will
go to the Indymedia space above, from 25th June.
University Convergence Space: Part
of Edinburgh student union is booked for Dissent! to hold convergence
meetings, and workshops etc., from 29th July to 7th July. The address
is Teviot buildings, Edinburgh Students Union Building, Bristo Square,
Edinburgh.
Other parts of the university are being used by other groups.
Accomodation There will be
a Dissent space within
the council provided accomodation at the Jack Kane Centre, Hunter Hall
Park, Niddrie Mains street, Craigmillar. You can take bus 2,

1st July: Cabar8 - Bongo Club, 37 Holyrood Road (nr Royal Mile),
Edinburgh. 9pm-3am Featuring Have I got Schnews for
You?, Rob Newman, the Clandestine Insurgent Rebel
Clown Army, Dr Skip Justice, G8 slam poetry, Julie
Dawid, MC's Tickle and Hasta, visuals by Global Eye,
and more. Food served by the Geishas of Gaiety and
dancing led by Kevy K, the lurve reaction and the
disco block. All proceeds to post G8 support. Hosted
by TRAPESE and SEAD, (Scottish Education and Action
for Development).
1st July: Bloc Aid fundraiser: An eclectic mix of techno and
house DJs, indie and punk bands at 'Edinburgh
Convergence 2005' including Conflict. 9pm till 3am.

2nd July: Edinburgh Convergence Space- Underground special special of Industrial
Breaks, Hard Techno & Dark DnB. Featuring 17 Djs and
Live acts across 3 floors. All proceeds towards the
