A new site has been found for the rural convergence.
Some final checks still need to be made but its all go for the
logistics. Please see below for a call out for crew, art resistance and an equipment list.
CALL OUT for set up and take down crew for the Hori-zone eco-village
convergence space.
Hello to all you handy people.
We are in need of people that will help with SET UP and TAKE DOWN of the
HoriZone campsite. We are looking for 50+ people for each case.
SET UP: 25th June - 1st July
We are calling for all those who are able to come to the Stirling area to
help with setting up the infrastructure for the site. We would be asking
you to join existing site collectives, which are focused on specific areas
of work.
If you think you might be able to help please get in touch on
site_set_up_crew@yahoo.co.uk
Let us know when you will be arriving and any skills you have, if you have
no particular skills we still need you. If you're already coming to set up
a space etc but can still be around to help with other stuff please
contact this email. If you can bring any tools etc that might be useful
let us know.
TAKE DOWN: 9th - 15th July
If you can't make it up early but can stay around after the summit we also
need people to take down all the structures and infrastructure and
ensuring the site is spotless.
If you think you may be able to help with this please email
take_down_crew@yahoo.co.uk Again, let us know when you will be arriving
and how long you can stay and any skills you have. Also let us know if you
can drive or have access to a vehicle, as we will need to be shipping
loads of tat away.
Look forward to seeing you!

Call out for art in resistance to the G8
Help make Hori-Zone look as vibrant as our resistance.
We are calling for art collectives, groups and individuals to bring imagination,
creativity and materials to help make our camp an inspiring and beautiful place for
us all to be.
From gardens to murals, from sculpture to theatre, from pennants to graff, bring

TAT LIST
This isn't a wish list. It's mostly a list of ESSENTIALS, without which
there isn't going to be a convergence space. Much of this stuff can be
tatted off skips etc. in YOUR AREA, and it needs YOU to get out there
skipping or blagging it NOW. Next week will be too late.
Other stuff needs to be BORROWED from you lovely people. We promise you
an elaborate bureaucracy to ensure every borrowed item in the last
category below is encoded with your DNA, iris scan and sex of grandfather
to ensure it gets back to YOU.
SO PLEASE, PLEASE GET SKIPPING NOW & START SORTING OUT ANY TAT YOU COULD
LEND.
All this stuff needs to be on site 25th June . Items showing up a couple
of days before the site opens on 1st July will be TOO LATE to be useful.
So we've got a big truck touring the country picking up tat from 22nd(?)
June. Please get all this tat together in one place a big truck can get
to and ring 07910 975003 or e-mail tat_list@yahoo.co.uk to arrange
collection. Borrowed items will be labelled when collected and returned
to you at a convenient time later, so we'll need a contact number to
arrange this.
STUFF TO BE SKIPPED
