the second preparatory meeting of the anti g8 bike caravan "west" took place and these are our results.

[NOTE: Before our last meeting a stop was planned in Münster. This was canceled at the last meeting in favor of the current route since it seemed to fit better into the overall route concept. Since then we have learned that people in Münster had already counted on us and begun preparations so it may well be that Münster will be put back on to the route at our next meeting.]

as an attentive reader you have surely noticed that we planned 4 days pause in hamburg. thats not true, but these are the days that we have left open for things that could happen, from which we dont know anything yet (and they will appear). so these dates are not totally fixed and the longer the route the more chaos appears, ehm i meant,the later we'll be... fix dates are the first of may in brussels and the departure from the bombodrom on the 30st of may towards the g8.

we thought about a better name, and after a while (and another while) one had the glorious idea: Gr8chaoskaravaan07

another topic was our mobilization, and we want to do open spaces/workshops about the tour whereever we are. we decided that we need a poster, and one poor person will try to finish it until the middle of november. if YOU know something where we can print them, coulered and for very little money, LET us KNOW! Also a website and mailing lists are being created.

yes, another point was the money we do not have (but try to organize), and if you have a bit too much... and it is almost the same with a car or a bus (for transporting stuff), trailers, tractors which want to escort us (trailer crew - where are you?) one trailer probably starts from osnabrück with us.

we thougt about the concept of the caravan and these are the things we wanr to do so far:

• direct action
• propaganda (mobilization for the antig8actions and for other stuff)
• building up networks with the local groups
• theatre and inquiris
• clowning
• expositions

legal stuff was another topic, but for that theres not much to say, exept that we will organize it

in the end we made some new dates: the next preparatory meeting we will hold is in december (8 -10). for that we try to get a room in utrecht. our theatre workshop (also with one clown so far) is right after chistmas in the premises of the "jugendumweltkongress" (jukss - 26.12.2006 till 06.01.2007 somewhere in or around berlin.
